New Product Development Coordinator

We pride ourselves on being innovation led and are aiming to change the food and nutrition industry for the better. To help with this, we're looking for a NPD Project Co-Ordinator to join our growing team and help manage all new projects. 

This is a customer focused role where you will be responsible for the project management of all customer development activity. With the support of a small team, you will be managing the NPD process in line with critical paths, technical and commercial parameters, and leading feasibility meetings to ensure the smooth launch of products. Whilst the NPD Coordinator will be required to work to strict deadlines, you will also need to ensure quality and technical standards are maintained throughout. As the NPD Coordinator you will also be responsible for undertaking any administrative duties for the NPD department, ensuring documentation is accurately managed, filed and tracked. 

Main Duties and Responsibilities 

• Create and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for product development initiatives. Coordinate tasks, resources, and milestones to ensure timely product launches.
• Liaise with the buying team in sourcing new raw materials or packaging ensuring that all new raw materials are approved by the technical department.
• Work with the quality and compliance team to produce new and existing product specifications.
• Develop knowledge of raw materials and factory processes to help develop new opportunities in product development.
• Assist in completing any relevant documentation required by the customer.
• Update project progress to the wider team, via frequent meetings and in accordance with project timelines.
• Involvement in generation of packaging artwork, approvals and co-ordination with the customer and buying department.
• Proof packaging artwork and ensuring compliance to all relevant laws.
• To support production and process team at pre-production and product launch.
• Responsible for NPD related administration, ensuring all documentation is up to date with accurate information, and stored appropriately. Essential Skills, Experience and Qualifications
